Recording & Audition
I had a great week highlighted by meeting with my good friend, Mark Palazzolo about new direction for both of us in music, ministry and recording our next song. Mark really likes a song called, "I Love You," that I wrote about three or four years ago. It moves around quite a bit and changes keys both up and down.
I hope to be setting up a base track with Kirk Williams next week so we can get it out to those who will be a part of this song. Kirk is a great producer and engineer; I thoroughly enjoy working together with him and his talents just kind of don't have any boundaries or limits. Cool, huh?
Yeah, so the thing I'm looking forward to in recording this next song (my 2nd, whoa!), is that it will be partly in Spanish. We're going to keep the jazz-blues-fushion feel, I hope, and add a cool Latino feel, too. I hope it turns out.
So, one more thing to report: I auditioned for doing future solo and worship leading on "solo" night with Abundant Life Christian Fellowship about a week ago. It turned out okay, I think. You know how subjective this stuff is, right? Yeah, for sure. I did Peace That Passes, but with a harp solo instead of the guitar solo at the break. I like that harp voice in this song. So, anyway, without going into details, Pastor Dan is adding my name to the long list of talent at ALCF for future "stuff." I'm grateful to be working together with him and all the ALCF team!
